Don Laffoon
After graduating from high school in 1979 and working for Electrical Corporation of America as a Stockman Driver/Material Warehouseman, Don was accepted into the Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program in 1983. In 1987, he graduated as a Journeyman Wireman. From there he began overseeing projects as a Foreman/General Foreman, working both locally and nationally. After years of estimating and project managing, he and four partners bought Electrical Corporation of America. in 2003. Since then, he has acted as President and CEO of ECA, until its employee lead sale in 2022. Don currently holds Electrical Contractor licenses in 38 states across the US.
Getting involved with organizations has always been a priority of the Laffoon family. Don joined the NECA association in 1999, when he began estimating and project managing. After serving on several committees, he joined the Board of Directors in 2008. Laffoon has been President of the Kansas City Chapter, NECA, as well as Governor. He is the PLC Chairman for NECA District 7, a member of the ELECTRI Council, and has served on the Council on Industrial Relations as well.
Outside of work, Don enjoys family time, swimming, barbecuing, traveling to beaches, and a little bit of golf.

Amanda Laffoon
Amanda has always been the “creative” one in the family. Upon graduating with her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, Amanda was on a mission to take the advertising world by storm. From 2011-2022 she worked at different size agencies moving her way up the ranks and showcasing her creative talents on world-renowned brands such as Gatorade, Garmin, and Southwest airlines. As a Social Media Director Amanda has experience with product launches, yearly 360 campaigns, and paid advertisements.
Outside of work, Amanda loves dancing with her beautiful and sassy little girls Nora and Rose as well as traveling to new places wth her husband Dylan.
